Headline: Firearm Sales Way Up During Holiday Season
I saw that headline and link at Drudge. That is a story I can believe based on my recent experience.
Yesterday I went to Cabela's to buy a shotgun. I've wanted one for awhile and it seemed time. Really didn't have anything to do with the holidays, just coincidence. The store was packed yesterday. Well, not the whole store, but the gun area sure was. Every counter-person was helping a customer, the floor workers were all busy and people were all over the racks of used guns.
The checkout line was as deep as a grocery store line on a weekend. People buying their guns, others picking them up.
Today I went back after the 24-hr waiting period to get my gun. Same thing. Packed. PACKED.
This was a Tuesday and Wednesday. Not a weekend.
Even before I read the article I was pretty impressed how busy it was and how many guns were being sold.
